Sally A. Cohen, Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, Passes Away at 83
Spring Township, PA – With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sally A. Cohen, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully at Mifflin Rehab on May 12, 2024, after a courageous battle with emphysema.
A Life Well-Lived
Born on September 14, 1940, in Charleston, West Virginia, Sally was the daughter of Early and Helen (Parker) Fields. She graduated from Charleston High School in 1958 and went on to live a life filled with love, family, and adventure.
In 1962, Sally married the love of her life, MSgt Larry D. Cohen USAF (ret), and together they embarked on a journey that lasted over six decades. Their journey took them to various parts of the country and Germany, where they made lifelong friends and created countless memories.
Sally was a dedicated mother to her two daughters, Joyce (Frank) Bair and Eedy L. (Mike) Baker. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Bradley (Ashley) Baker, Ashley (Neal) Dalmas, and Kelly (Trevor) Ashley, and as a great-grandmother to Calvin and Blake Dalmas and Kaylee Baker. Sally also became a beloved “Mom” to Ines Araujo from California.
A True Patriot
As the wife of a career Air Force veteran, Sally embraced the spirit of patriotism and service. She supported her husband’s military career and took pride in her country.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 131, PO Box 13735, Reading, PA 19612, as a testament to her unwavering support for our veterans.
A Legacy of Love
Sally will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and infectious laughter will forever be etched in our memories.
Services for Sally will be private, and she will be laid to rest with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.
