Obituary: Gail Annette Losianowycz, 77
Former Motorola Training Manager and American Legion Auxiliary Member
Gail Annette Losianowycz, a beloved wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was 77 years old.
Born Gail Annette Clausen on March 6, 1947, in Amery, Wisconsin, Gail spent her early years in the small town of Milltown, Wisconsin. After graduating high school, she embarked on a successful career with Motorola, where she rose to the position of Training Manager.
During her time at Motorola, Gail’s exceptional skills and dedication earned her opportunities to travel the world. She visited countries such as Ireland, Austria, and India, broadening her horizons and fostering a lifelong love of travel.
In 1978, Gail’s life took a momentous turn when she married Walter Losianowycz in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The couple shared a deep love and companionship that lasted for 46 years.
Gail was not only a dedicated wife and mother but also an active member of her community. She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary #6856 in Milltown, Wisconsin, where she devoted her time to supporting veterans and their families.
In her retirement years, Gail pursued her passions with vigor. She delved into genealogy, tracing her family’s roots and preserving their stories. She also became an avid puzzle solver, spending countless hours engaging her mind and honing her logical thinking skills.
Gail’s infectious enthusiasm and love of life radiated through everything she did. She adored playing Mahjongg with friends and never missed an opportunity to indulge in her favorite shopping pastime.
Gail’s legacy extends beyond her immediate family and into the lives of countless others who were fortunate enough to know her. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit will continue to inspire and comfort those who mourn her passing.
Gail is survived by her husband, Walter Losianowycz; his children, Michael (Linda) Losianowycz and Christine Saldivar-Losianowycz; three grandchildren, Nicole (Truvell) Graves, Tom Losianowycz, and Mikey Losianowycz; two siblings, Arlie (Gin) Clausen and Jeannette (Mike) Rochford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marie Clausen, and her brothers, Gary and John Clausen.
A Memorial Service will be held at Rowe Funeral Home in Luck, Wisconsin, on June 21, 2024, at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary or the American Cancer Society in Gail’s memory. Her contributions to her community and her unwavering spirit will be forever remembered.
