Born in Sacramento, California, Janice spent her formative years in Benicia, where she attended Benicia High School. Her passion for serving others emerged early on as she actively supported the local fire company, providing assistance to firefighters during emergency situations.
After graduating high school, Janice embarked on a rewarding career with defense contractors in her hometown. She worked tirelessly at Benicia Arsenal and the Treasure Island Naval Base in San Francisco, contributing to vital defense efforts.
Relocation to Reading and Continued Contributions
In 1963, Janice and her family relocated to Reading, Pennsylvania. Driven by her desire to make a difference, she joined the Social Security Administration (SSA). Her exceptional work ethic and dedication led to her promotion to Supervisor, a position she held until her retirement in 2000.
Throughout her tenure at the SSA, Janice’s unwavering commitment to serving the community was evident. She went above and beyond to assist individuals in navigating complex systems, ensuring that they received the benefits and support they deserved.
A Legacy of Love and Support
Janice met the love of her life, Frank S. Quattrock, and they shared a fulfilling marriage that lasted over five decades until his passing in 2018. Together, they welcomed two sons, Richard S. and Mark S., who brought immense joy and meaning to their lives.
Janice’s devotion to her family was unwavering. She was a loving and supportive wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother to her grandson, Steven. Her home was a haven where laughter, warmth, and unwavering love prevailed.

Funeral Arrangements
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington.
A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, officiated by Deacon Felix Joseph Lombardo.
