It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmy Ray Brock Compton, age 63, on April 25, 2024 at Cullman Regional. Jimmy Ray was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Jimmy Ray was born on June 23, 1960 to J.D. Brock and Betty Nell Compton. He was raised by his father, William John Compton. Jimmy Ray was a kind and caring soul who always put others before himself. He had a great love for his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

Jimmy Ray was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Brock; his father who raised him, William John Compton; his mother, Betty Nell Compton; his daughter, Amber Compton; and his nephew, Clint Gray. He is survived by his sons, Justin (Shaundra) Compton and Jacob Compton; his granddaughter, Eden Compton; his sisters, Sherry (James) Adams, Gail (Billy) Gray, Angie (Andy) Pinkerton, and Cacee Willmon; his brother, John (Renee) Compton; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
