Joseph Russell Heath Jr. Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Russell Heath Jr., 66, of Pittson, Maine. Joe died unexpectedly at home on July 27, 2024, doing what he loved most: working in the woods.

Joe was born on May 1, 1958, in Gardiner, Maine, to Joseph Russell Heath, Sr. and Maxine (Moulton) Heath. He grew up in Pittston and attended Gardiner Area High School, where he played football.

After returning home from his service, he worked in agriculture and landscaping before taking an Electronic Technician position at Bath Iron Works (BIW), where he worked for 37 years.

Joe was a dedicated and hardworking man. He loved his job at BIW and took great pride in his work. He was also a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
