Judith Ann Vondemkamp (Judi), a true Midwesterner born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota, embarked on her life’s journey on August 28, 1950. Her days were filled with boundless energy, creativity, and a love for adventure that shaped her every step.

In 1978, Judi found her soulmate in Rick Vondemkamp, a bond that would last for 45 cherished years. Together, they created a family that became the center of Judi’s world. Her son, Chris, and stepdaughter, Melinda, brought endless joy and fulfillment to her life.

Judi’s unwavering support for her family extended beyond her immediate circle. She adored her two brothers, Ben and Harold Nelson, who held a special place in her heart.

A Dedicated Worker and Creative Spirit

Throughout her life, Judi’s unwavering work ethic and dedication shone through in her various roles. She approached each task with enthusiasm and precision, leaving a lasting impact on her colleagues.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Judi’s creativity flourished in her hobbies. She was an avid knitter, seamstress, and quilter, creating exquisite gifts that brought warmth and comfort to those around her.

On June 1, 2024, Judi’s earthly journey came to an end as she passed away peacefully in Boise, Idaho. While her physical presence may be gone, her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.

Celebrating Judi’s Life

A memorial service to celebrate Judith Ann Vondemkamp’s extraordinary life will be held at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota. The date and time of the service will be announced soon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Judi’s memory, supporting ongoing research and efforts to fight brain cancer.
