Judith E. Couture, beloved wife, mother, and devout Catholic, was born on December 12, 1938, in Augusta, Maine. Her parents, Earl and Laura Traynor, raised her in a nurturing environment.
Education and Career:
Judith attended Waterville Senior High School, graduating in 1956. She embarked on a fulfilling career at W. B. Arnold Co., where she held various roles, including cashier, switchboard operator, and office assistant. Her administrative skills and dedication later led her to work for Dr. Louis G. Rancourt, D.M.J., as his office manager and assistant.
Family and Faith:
In 1966, Judith married Eugene Couture, the love of her life. Together, they welcomed their cherished daughter, Michelle. Family was paramount to Judith, and she devoted herself to her husband and daughter throughout her life. Her unwavering faith in the Catholic Church was a cornerstone of her existence, and she was an active member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit.
Hobbies and Interests:
Judith possessed a passion for music, especially playing the piano. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time at the coast. Her warm smile and infectious laugh brought joy to those around her.
Legacy:
Judith Couture passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 85, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, surrounded by the love of her family. She will be lovingly remembered for her unwavering love, unwavering faith, and compassionate spirit.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Michelle Couture; her brothers, Ronald Earl Traynor and wife Rosemarie, and Paul B. Traynor; as well as numerous extended family members and cherished friends. Her husband, Eugene, and her parents preceded her in passing.
