Kristine D. Tracy Obituary: A Legacy of Compassion and Service

With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Kristine D. (Tassinari) Tracy on May 13, 2024, at Maine Medical Center. Known for her unwavering dedication to helping others, Kristine leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service.

Early Life and Education

Kristine was born on November 12, 1980, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, to Richard and Pamela Tassinari. Raised in Jefferson, Maine, she graduated from Erskine Academy in 1999. Throughout her school years, Kristine excelled both academically and athletically. She set a school record in shot put during her freshman year, a record she later broke again as a senior.

A Passion for First Response

From a young age, Kristine harbored an unwavering desire to help those in need. She began her career as a first responder at the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department and went on to complete her paramedic training at Kennebec Valley Community College. Over the years, she worked tirelessly for numerous ambulance services and departments, including Central Lincoln County Ambulance, Delta Ambulance, Med-Care, Monmouth Rescue, AMR, Wiscasset Ambulance, and Edgecomb Fire Department.

Kristine’s passion for her work was evident in her dedication to providing exceptional care to every patient she encountered. She once remarked to her mother, “I like holding people together until they can get to a hospital.”

Unconditional Love for Her Children

Among all her accomplishments, Kristine’s proudest role was that of a mother to her two beloved children, Aidan Tracy and Maddison Abbott. She doted on them unconditionally, always putting their happiness and well-being above all else. Her love for her children was a driving force in her life, and they returned her love tenfold.

A Friend to All

Kristine possessed a warm and outgoing personality that drew people to her. She made lifelong friends wherever she went. With her infectious smile and quick wit, she could make anyone laugh. Despite her often-unconventional sense of humor, she was unafraid to be herself. When a friend or family member needed support, Kristine was always there to lend a listening ear or offer words of encouragement.

Community Involvement

Beyond her work and family life, Kristine was deeply involved in her community. She was an active member of the Edgecomb Fire Department Auxiliary, dedicated to supporting the local fire department and ensuring the safety of her neighbors.
