The Canaan community is mourning the loss of one of its most beloved members, Lisa W. Gullifer, who passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 56. Lisa’s passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her remarkable life.

Early Life and Education

Lisa was born on March 8, 1968, in Waterville, Maine, to Cheryl and Donald Gullifer. She grew up in Fairfield, where she attended Lawrence High School and graduated as part of the Class of 1986. Lisa’s passion for caring for others was evident from a young age, inspiring her to pursue a career in the healthcare field.

A Dedicated Healthcare Professional

Upon completing her education, Lisa joined Woodlawn Nursing Home in Skowhegan, where she dedicated 22 years of her life to providing compassionate care to the elderly. Her unwavering commitment to her patients’ well-being and her ability to create a warm and comforting environment earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the families she served.

A Family Devoted to Love and Support

Outside of her professional life, Lisa’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and supportive partner to her significant other, Ed Archer, and a devoted mother to her children: Kristen Gullifer, Morgan Archer, and stepson Edward Archer Jr. Lisa’s grandchildren, Dylan Archer, Brentley Archer, Emerson Archer, Brayden Atkinson, and Nova Archer, brought immense joy to her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

Community Involvement and Personal Interests

Lisa was deeply involved in her community and actively participated in various organizations. She enjoyed playing games and watching television, finding solace and entertainment in these simple pleasures. Lisa’s cheerful disposition and infectious laughter could always brighten up any room.

A private graveside service will be held for the family at a later date. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Services in Skowhegan.
