Funeral Service for Lula Mae Spradlin, 80, of Cullman

Cullman, AL – June 1, 2024 – Funeral services for Lula Mae Spradlin, age 80 of Cullman, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Panama Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the funeral home.

Obituary

Lula Mae Spradlin was born on May 27, 1944, in Cullman, Alabama, to Paul and Janice McCardle. She passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the age of 80.

Lula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Spradlin, Sr.; her parents, Paul and Janice McCardle; and her daughters, Patricia Fulmer and Angie Oliver.

She is survived by her sons, Wilburn (Christy) Spradlin, Jr. and John (Denise) Spradlin; her daughter, Susan (Glenn) Runge; her grandchildren, Laura Nichols, Dustin Spradlin, Mandy Vest, Nicole Lawrence, Heather Lawrence, Whitney Black, Matt Wray, Brandon Wray, Kurt Runge, Lily Baxter, Stephen Runge, Emma Runge, Hannah Young, Benjamin Young, and Daniel Young; her great-grandchildren, Hayley Nix, William Nichols, Lawrence Nichols, Jett Nichols, Elliot Nichols, Georgianna Wray, Elijah Wray, Layton Wray, Kolbi Wray, Taylor Johnson, Bailey Falkner, Levi Lawrence, Hunter Black, Aiden Black, Zeke Runge, Michael Bates, Baylee Bates, DJ Runge, Jeromie Runge, Maggie Runge, Jasper Jones, and one on the way; her five great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of other family and friends.

Lula was a faithful member of her church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Arrangements

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Panama Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wilburn Spradlin, Jr., John Spradlin, Glenn Runge, Matt Wray, Brandon Wray, and Kurt Runge.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
