West Gardiner, Maine – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marcelle R. Kimball Malinky, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Marcelle passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024, at the age of 66, surrounded by her loving family.

## A Life of Service and Dedication

Marcelle was born on April 21, 1958, in Gardiner, Maine, to Gordon and Renee Kimball. She was a graduate of Gardiner Area High School, Class of 1976, where she served as the head majorette during her senior year.

Marcelle’s commitment to excellence and service continued throughout her career. She spent an impressive 40 years with the State of Maine, where she dedicated herself to helping others. For 23 years, she served as an Aspire Specialist in the Welfare to Work Program, touching countless lives with her compassion and tireless efforts.

## A Devoted Family Woman

Marcelle’s family was the center of her world. She shared 45 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Jeffrey M. Malinky. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.

Marcelle was an incredibly proud mother to her daughter, Danielle R. Hague, and son-in-law, Joseph P. Hague. Her grandchildren, Nuala R. Hague and Liam J. Hague, brought immeasurable joy into her life.

## A Cherished Memory

Marcelle’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love endeared her to all who knew her. Her presence brought light into the lives of those around her, and her absence leaves an irreplaceable void.

Marcelle was a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit of generosity, compassion, and joy will continue to inspire and uplift others for generations to come.

## Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 30, at the Viles Arboretum from 2 – 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

## In Memoriam

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marcelle’s memory to the Maine Lost Dog Recovery.
