Mary Kay Gillen Obituary

Mary Kay Gillen, 82, of Apple Valley, MN, passed away on May 31, 2024.

Mary Kay was born on September 7, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked in the banking industry. Mary Kay found joy in caring for her family and was known for her love and devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Mary Kay attended Holy Angels Academy for her high school education. She was a member of the Church of the Risen Savior Catholic Church.

In her free time, Mary Kay enjoyed motorcycle riding, old cars, gardening, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Mary Kay is survived by her husband, Nicholas Gillen; son Daniel Gillen and daughter-in-law Teresa Gillen; daughter Stacey McKague and son-in-law Brian McKague; grandchildren Lauren (Gillen) Frank and husband Peter Frank, Sarah (Gillen) Kalk and husband Jordan Kalk, Evan Gillen, Nicholas McKague and fiancée Ellie Krummel, and Lindsey McKague, nieces and nephews as well as her brother Richard Pawlak (Diane) and brother Daniel Pawlak (Lawnie).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Evangeline Pawlak, and her sister, Bonnie Strand (Ron).

A memorial visitation will be held at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave, Apple Valley, MN on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 4-7p to honor and celebrate Mary’s life.
