With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Hermanovich on June 5, 2024, at the age of 64. Jean, a cherished wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother, will be deeply missed by her family and the countless lives she touched.
Born in Media, Pennsylvania, on August 15, 1959, Jean’s life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to family, community, and her passions. After graduating from Cardinal O’Hara High School and Bryn Mawr Nursing School, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a nurse.
A Cherished Union and Growing Family
Fate brought Jean and John Hermanovich together at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, where their love blossomed and they exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony. Their marriage of 38 years was a testament to their unwavering love and support for one another.
Together, Jean and John built a loving family, welcoming three children into the world: Mark, Marisa, and Greg. Their home in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, became a sanctuary of joy and laughter, where memories were created and love abounded.
A True Matriarch and Nurturer
As a mother, Jean’s love knew no bounds. She devoted herself to raising her children, providing them with unwavering support and guidance. Her infectious laughter, warm smile, and open heart created a welcoming environment for her children and their friends.
Jean’s kitchen was always stocked with an abundance of snacks, ensuring that every neighborhood child felt welcomed and cared for. Her home was a place where laughter, camaraderie, and love intertwined.
A Passion for Travel and Joyous Gatherings
Beyond her family, Jean had a deep passion for travel. She and John embarked on countless adventures together, exploring destinations near and far. Hawaii and California held a special place in their hearts, and they spent many memorable summers in Avalon, New Jersey.
Jean cherished the company of her friends and family. She hosted countless gatherings, where laughter, storytelling, and the sharing of cherished moments filled the air. Her ability to connect with people from all walks of life was a testament to her warm and welcoming spirit.
A Return to Nursing and a New Chapter
After a hiatus from nursing, Jean returned to work at the Caron Foundation, dedicating herself to helping others on their journey to recovery. Her compassionate heart and unwavering belief in the power of healing made her a beacon of hope for those in need.
Later, Jean discovered her true passion in estate jewelry. She spent her summers working at Victorious in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, where she shared her love of beautiful treasures with customers.
A Legacy of Love and a Farewell
Jean’s passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of her family and friends. Her love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will forever be cherished. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 12th, from 10 am to 11 am, followed by an 11 am Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Ave., Linwood, NJ 08221.
