Obituary: Joseph B. “Jody” Shaw III

AUGUSTA, Maine — Joseph B. “Jody” Shaw III, 63, of Augusta, Maine, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 29, 2024 at his home.

Jody was born in Augusta on Jan. 27, 1961, the son of Joseph B. “Brad” Shaw, Jr. and Geraldine (Fisher) Lindsay. He attended Augusta schools and was a self-employed carpenter for many years.

Jody was a kind and gentle soul who always had a smile on his face. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Jody is survived by his significant other of 40 years, Lorraine Shaw of Augusta; his two brothers, Jon Shaw of West Gardiner and Nathan Jullien of Fairfield; his sister, Catelin Lindsay of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.
