Obituary: Marcelle R. Kimball Malinky

Marcelle R. Kimball Malinky, 66, of West Gardiner, passed away on May 22.

Marcelle was born in Augusta, Maine on March 15, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Rita (Kimball) Malinky.

Marcelle graduated from Cony High School in 1974. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maine at Augusta.

Marcelle worked as a technical writer for several companies in the Augusta area. She was a member of the Society for Technical Communication and the Augusta Area Chamber of Commerce.

Marcelle was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and reading.

Marcelle is survived by her two children, Sarah Malinky of West Gardiner and Michael Malinky of Augusta; her two grandchildren, Sophia and Ethan; her brother, Robert Malinky of Augusta; and her sister, Mary Malinky of Hallowell.

A celebration of Marcelle’s life will be held on June 30 at Viles Arboretum from 2 – 5 p.m.
