Pauline Lemay, Beloved Wife and Mother, Passes Away at 92

Lowell Resident Remembered for Her Love of Family, Reading, and Shopping

TEWKSBURY, MA, June 4, 2024 – Pauline A. Lemay (née Desruisseaux), a longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Blaire House of Tewksbury.

Early Life and Career

Born in Lowell, MA, on September 9, 1931, Pauline was the daughter of Irene (Rochette) (Desruisseaux) Dube and Albert Desruisseaux. She graduated from St. Joseph High School and began her career working at the Union National Bank, followed by the Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union in Lowell.

Family and Legacy

Pauline’s life revolved around her family. She was married to Wilfred H. Lemay for 59 years, until his passing in 2022. Together, they raised their daughter, Anne-Marie Rossmeisl, and welcomed their granddaughter, Stephanie. Pauline cherished spending time with her family, celebrating holidays and going out for dinner.

Hobbies and Interests

Beyond her family, Pauline had a passion for reading, especially mystery novels. She enjoyed shopping trips to the mall and loved finding special gifts for her granddaughter, Stephanie.

Community Involvement

Pauline was an active member of her community. She was involved in Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Church in Dracut and volunteered at various local organizations.

Survivors

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Anne-Marie Rossmeisl, and her husband, Stephen, of Pelham, NH; her granddaughter, Stephanie, also of Pelham, NH; her brothers, Francis Desruisseaux and his wife, Kay, and Jean Desruisseaux, both of Lowell; her sister, Lucille Robitaille of Lowell; her brother-in-law, Robert Lemay, and his wife, Joanne, of Mashpee; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Deceased

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred H. Lemay; her parents, Irene (Rochette) (Desruisseaux) Dube and Albert Desruisseaux; her siblings, Paul, Richard, and Robert Desruisseaux, and Suzanne Williams; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie-Anne and Raymond Drouin.

Memorial Services

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pauline’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 10:15 until 11:15 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 12 PM at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Church, Dracut. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
