In Memoriam: Clarabel J. Fosnocht, a Life Well-Lived

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Clarabel J. Fosnocht, who passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023, at the age of 87.

Clarabel was born on March 15, 1936, in San Francisco, California. She was the youngest of four children born to John and Mary Jones. Clarabel grew up in a loving and supportive home, where she developed a strong sense of family and community.

Clarabel attended San Francisco State University, where she met the love of her life, William Fosnocht. They were married in 1958 and spent 65 wonderful years together.

Clarabel and William had two children, John and Susan. Clarabel was a devoted mother who always put her children first. She was involved in their school activities, volunteered her time at their sporting events, and was always there for them.

In addition to her family, Clarabel had a passion for gardening. She loved spending time in her garden, where she grew beautiful flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her friends.

Clarabel was a kind and compassionate person who always put others before herself. She was a friend to all and always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Clarabel is survived by her loving husband, William; her two children, John and Susan; her two grandchildren, Jessica and Michael; and her sister, Evelyn.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church in San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Clarabel’s memory.

Rest in peace, Clarabel. You will always be remembered for your kindness, compassion, and love.
