One Dead in METRO Bus Crash on Westpark Tollway
HOUSTON – One person is dead following a crash involving a METRO bus on the Westpark Tollway Thursday morning. The Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) reported the accident occurred just before 6 a.m. A passenger vehicle struck a METRO bus in the westbound lanes near Westheimer Place Drive.
The identity of the deceased and the cause of the crash have not yet been released. Westbound lanes of the Westpark Tollway were temporarily closed while authorities investigated the fatal accident. All lanes reopened by 7:45 a.m.
