It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Mary (Peg) Morgan, who was called home to heaven to join the Lord and all His angels on May 13, 2024. Surrounded by her loving family, Peg spent her final days in peace and comfort.
Early Life and Family
Born on June 24, 1933, in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, Peg embarked on a life filled with love and meaning. She found the love of her life while working at a group home in Wisconsin, where she met Jay Morgan. Their enduring love led them to Minnesota, where they exchanged their vows on February 5, 1966.
A Heart for Others
Peg possessed an extraordinary compassion for others. Her kind words, warm hugs, and unwavering prayers brought comfort and solace to all who crossed her path. She spent countless years working in Human Resources at the Apple Valley Kmart, where her gentle spirit and exceptional empathy left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of her colleagues and customers alike.

Peg’s legacy of love and service extended beyond her professional life. She dedicated herself to various community organizations, always seeking to make a positive impact on her surroundings. Cherished Memories
Peg is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Jay Morgan, and their cherished children: Janet VonRuden, John Morgan, and Theresa (Jeff) Barkmeier. Her grandchildren, Alexia, Dillon, Grant, Jack, Alex, and Braeden, will forever hold dear the memories of their loving grandmother. Her sister, Rose Ann O’Connor, will also carry on her legacy of kindness and service.
Expression of Gratitude
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to HealthPartners Hospice Care, particularly Lydia, the compassionate nurse who provided exceptional care during Peg’s final days. They also extend their deepest appreciation to the dedicated staff at New Perspective for their unwavering support and kindness.
Celebration of Life
A Funeral Mass in honor of Peg will be held on Friday, May 17, at 11:00 am at Church of the Risen Savior in Burnsville, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, at White Funeral Home in Apple Valley. Prior to the service on Friday, there will be an hour of visitation starting at 10:00 am.
