A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side Monday morning. The incident occurred around 9:48 a.m. in the 8000 block of South Escanaba Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood. According to Chicago police, the boy was walking when someone inside a black Nissan Altima opened fire on him. The vehicle then fled southbound on Escanaba Avenue.
The teenager suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to a hospital in serious but stable condition. No arrests have been made, and Chicago police are currently investigating the shooting.
