Sikkim Declares Seven Days of Mourning for Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

Gangtok, December 27, 2024 – The Government of Sikkim has declared a seven-day period of mourning following the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on the night of December 26, 2024. The state government expressed profound sorrow at the loss of this distinguished leader.

From December 26, 2024, to January 1, 2025, the national flag will be flown at half-mast across Sikkim as a mark of respect for Dr. Singh’s significant contributions to the nation. This period of mourning reflects the state’s deep appreciation for his legacy and service.
