Sikkim Mourns Manmohan Singh


The Government of Sikkim has declared a seven-day state mourning period, from December 26th, 2024, to January 1st, 2025, following the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on December 26th, 2024. The announcement reflects the state’s profound sorrow at the loss of this distinguished leader.

As a mark of respect, the national flag will be flown at half-mast across Sikkim throughout the mourning period. This gesture underscores the state’s recognition of Dr. Singh’s significant contributions and enduring legacy.
