The world’s longest-running play, The Mousetrap, which celebrates its 70th anniversary on Friday, is set to open on Broadway next year.
Agatha Christie’s crime film premiered on November 25, 1952 at the Theater Royal in Nottingham. At first she thought it might only last eight months.
But it has since become a West End fixture, performed nearly 29,000 times and seen by 10 million people.
The play has already toured in the United States, but never on Broadway.
