Victorian residents have been told to “prepare to evacuate” as a bushfire burns near the Great Ocean Road.
On Saturday, the Country Fire Authority issued a Watch and Act alerts for a fire burning near Eastern View and another at Kennett River, about 44 kilometres away.
The Kennett River alert was downgraded just before 5pm with the threat reduced and residents have now been told to monitor conditions.

But residents in Big Hill, Eastern View, Memorial Arch and Moggs Creek have been told to prepare to evacuate.
While the is currently under control, emergency services are concerned about a Bureau of Meterology weather warning for strong wind gusts potentially carrying embers to other areas.
“If you are located in the Eastern View Memorial Arch area, we encourage you to consider leaving now before the severe winds begin,” VicEmergency said in a statement.
For those in the Eastern View Memorial Arch area, there is a relief centre at Grant Pavilion in Kuwarrk Lane in Torquay and the Lorne Surf Club will also be opened if needed.
Residents who need to evacuate have been advised to pack cash, clothing and medicine for three days, phone and chargers, toiletries, important documents, photos and pet essentials.
Victorians have been warned to remain alert to the conditions with a total fire ban in place for Saturday with a forecast temperature of 37C.
