Steven C. Miller’s horror film *Werewolves*, starring Frank Grillo, has arrived on VOD after its theatrical release earlier this month (December 6th). The film, previously titled *Year 2*, was two years in the making. It’s now available to rent on Amazon for $19.99 or purchase for $24.99.
*Werewolves* presents a scenario where a supermoon event triggers a latent werewolf gene in humanity, resulting in a night of chaos and nearly a billion deaths. A year later, the supermoon returns. Grillo leads the cast, which also includes Katrina Law, Ilfenesh Hadera, James Michael Cummings, and Lou Diamond Phillips. Matthew Kennedy wrote the screenplay, and Steven C. Miller directed and produced alongside Myles Nestel, Craig Chapman, James Michael Cummings, Jim Cardwell, Luillo Ruiz, and Sevier Crespo. Frank Grillo also serves as executive producer, along with several others. Briarcliff Entertainment and The Solution Entertainment Group released the film.
Myles Nestel, co-CEO of The Solution, praised the cast and the practical werewolf effects created by Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr., stating that the film aims to bring a fresh take to the genre. *Werewolves* received an R rating for violence, gore, and language. JoBlo’s Tyler Nichols gave the film an 8/10 review and included it on his Best Horror Movies of 2024 list.
