A woman driving a Hyundai missing half its front end has been hit with a big fine after she drove past police in Melbourne.
Police officers on patrol in Sunshine North said they did a “double take” when the 2022 Hyundai Palisade drove past them on McIntyre Rd at 3.30pm on Saturday.
The 41-year-old woman was driving a car with no windscreen, back window or panels to cover its engine.

Photos taken by police show the vehicle with its engine and front wheels completely exposed.

The Brighton woman had already been issued with a defect notice by police three days earlier and warned the car was unsafe and not to drive it.
But after she was caught again, the driver copped a $740 fine and earned three demerit points.
