Doctors discovered a surgical needle lodged in Khan’s abdomen, a surgical instrument inexplicably left behind during her first delivery at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. Tragically, this needle injured the newborn during delivery, resulting in multiple injuries severe enough to require placement on a ventilator. The mother, thankfully, is reported to be in stable condition.
