With Canada’s men’s national team returning to the World Cup for the first time since 1986, and Vancouver set to host several games at the 2026 championship, interest in the World Cup is high.

Renamed “Whitecaps House” for the duration of the World Cup, Hollywood Theater and Vancouver Whitecaps they have teamed up to present the Team Canada games along with a good list of other games. Local soccer legend Carl Valentine, a member of Canada’s 1986 World Cup team, will be on hand for action in Canada. All ages are welcome, admission is free, but you must secure a ticket in advance.

Vancouver Portuguese Club, 1144 Commercial Drive
A focal point for soccer fans during each World Cup, PCOV shows all Canada-Portugal games and offers a limited menu and bar.
Vancouver Alpen Club, 4875 Victoria Drive

“Take Qatar to Third Avenue.” shout out to Nancy O’s, which has turned part of its premises into a World Cup hall, open from November 21 to December 15 at 11am.

Canada vs. Croatia on the big screen on November 27 at 8 am as part of the Campbell River Soccer Celebration Weekend. Food, prizes, games and special guests. Admission is by donation to Campbell River Youth Soccer.
