Xilam Animation Showcases Family and Adult Titles at Annecy 2024
French animation powerhouse Xilam Animation returns to Annecy 2024 with a diverse portfolio of family and adult titles, including the spooky comedy *The Doomies,* the epic adult series *Twilight of the Gods,* the heartwarming sequel *My Life in Versailles,* and the highly anticipated fourth season of *Athleticus.*
Event Screenings, Panels, and Presentations
Xilam’s presence at Annecy will feature a range of engaging events, including:
* “The Doomies” Work in Progress Screening: Creators of the Disney-produced animated comedy will present an exclusive first look at the series at Disney Branded Television’s screening on June 12.
* “Next on Netflix Animation” Presentation: Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, and Xilam’s Slimane Aniss will unveil sneak peeks and discuss the highly anticipated *Twilight of the Gods* alongside other upcoming Netflix animated projects.
* “My Life in Versailles” Special Screening: The sequel to the award-winning TV special will receive four screenings throughout the festival, offering attendees the chance to immerse themselves in the modern-day adventures of young Violette.
* “Athleticus” Season 4 Screening and Panel: Series director Nicolas Deveaux will lead a panel on the making of the popular animated series, discussing its humor and animal antics.
* “Meanwhile On Earth” Special Screening: Academy Award-nominated director Jeremy Clapin will showcase his new feature film, which features animation segments produced by Xilam Studio.
Expanding Portfolio and Partnerships
Xilam’s strong showing at Annecy reflects the studio’s ongoing expansion and collaborations. Recent greenlights include the adventure-comedy series *Submarine Jim,* pre-sold to France Télévisions and Super RTL, and the CG preschool series *Piggy Builders,* picked up by France Télévisions, BBC, and ZDF.
