Cullman, Alabama – July 23, 2024

Donald Stuart Ault, age 97, of Cullman, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at his residence.

Donald was born on January 3, 1927 in Kentucky to Melton Ault and Gretchen Turner. He was a member of the US Army and proudly served in Germany during World War II.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alfreda ‘Ted’ Williams-Ault, and his brothers and sisters.

Surviving family members include his daughters, Vickie (Billy) Jackson and Debra Ault; grandchildren, Forrest (Aimee) Jackson and Travis (Emily) Jackson; great-grandchildren Trevor, Sadie, Griffin, Graham, Wesley, and Warren; great-great-grandchild Draven; sister, Lovell Sensaboy; special friend, Cindy Vest; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation

Visitation for Donald will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Obituary

Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Donald was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in Germany during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.

Donald was a kind and compassionate man who always put others before himself. He loved his family and friends dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

Donald was an avid golfer and fisherman. He also enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

Donald will be remembered for his love of life, his sense of humor, and his strong work ethic.
