Obituary: Melondie Haynes Mobley, Cherished Wife, Mother, and Meme
Passing of a Beloved Matriarch
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Melondie Haynes Mobley, known lovingly as Meme, on July 10, 2024. A resident of Cullman, Alabama, Melondie passed away at the age of 51, surrounded by her adoring family.
Melondie was a pillar of strength and love for her family. She was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Rob Mobley, and a cherished mother to her children and stepchildren: Dustin (Rachel) Mobley, Leslie (Eddie) Herbert, Morgan (Darrius) Randolph, Robert (Jessica) Swindoll, Sammi Swindoll, Hannah (Chris) Browder, and Hunter (Mia) Mobley. Her unwavering love extended to her 17 precious grandchildren, who brought immense joy and fulfillment to her life.
A Life Filled with Love and Legacy
Born on March 24, 1973, in Cullman, Alabama, Melondie’s life was a tapestry woven with love and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Rebecca Haynes, but her spirit lives on through her surviving family: her sister, Tammy (Kenneth) Cripe, and brothers, Jason and Jeremy Haynes, as well as her niece, 2 nephews, and countless friends and loved ones.
Melondie’s passions extended beyond the walls of her home. She cherished traveling with her husband, exploring new destinations and creating unforgettable memories. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. They were her pride and joys, and she reveled in every moment spent with them.
Honoring a Life Well-Lived
A funeral service will be held in honor of Melondie Haynes Mobley on Saturday, July 13th, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cullman City Cemetery.
The family will receive close friends and family at 5:30 p.m. with visitation to follow at 6 p.m. Friday evening at Cullman Funeral Home.
