In Memoriam: Ronald “Ron” Gene Rohrer, Beloved Vallejo Resident

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald “Ron” Gene Rohrer, a beloved member of the Vallejo community. Ron passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 15th, 2024.

A Life of Service

Ron was born in 1937 and grew up in a military family. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. After his military service, Ron settled down in Vallejo, where he became a pillar of the community. He was an active member of St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, where he served on the parish council and volunteered countless hours.

Ron’s passion was helping others. He was a volunteer firefighter, a board member of the Vallejo Boys and Girls Club, and a mentor to countless young people. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and he always put the needs of others before his own.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, located at 1224 Alabama Street, Vallejo, CA 94590. The service will be officiated by Father Chris Tsironis.

Following the service, a private inurnment will be held at Jackson Catholic Cemetery, located at N. Main and Church Street, Jackson, CA. The inurnment will be attended by Ron’s immediate family and close friends.

Legacy of Love

Ron Rohrer was a man of integrity, compassion, and unwavering faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire others for generations to come. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire Vallejo community.

Expressions of Sympathy

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to a Veterans organization of their choice. Donations can be made in Ron’s name to:

• Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
• American Legion
• Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)

Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to the Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Twin Chapels for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
