A security checkpoint at Montgomery Regional Airport was the scene of a shooting early Saturday morning. A gun was fired, shattering a glass window, according to Montgomery TV station WSFA. While airport officials confirmed the incident, they offered no further details.
Local police responded swiftly to the incident, and WSFA reported that the threat was quickly neutralized, with a suspect taken into custody. Normal airport operations resumed by 4:00 a.m.
