Karun Nair's List A Cricket Record Shattered
Vidarbha captain Karun Nair has etched his name in the annals of List A cricket history, setting a new world record for the most consecutive runs scored without being dismissed. His remarkable streak ended at over 500 runs during a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh.

Nair’s incredible run surpassed the previous record of 527 runs, held by New Zealand’s James Franklin since 2010. In the match against UP, Nair contributed a magnificent 112-run knock, leading Vidarbha’s successful chase. His innings, however, eventually came to an end when he was dismissed by Atal Bihari Rai. This was Nair’s first dismissal of the tournament, remarkably occurring in Vidarbha’s fifth match.

Vidarbha ultimately secured a convincing victory against Uttar Pradesh, reaching the winning target with 16 balls to spare. The team’s success was further bolstered by Yash Rathod’s unbeaten 138-run innings.
