Barbara Decker was born in Evanston, Wyoming, as the first of four children to Bernita and C.E. “Ed” Massae. She was an only daughter and a beloved sister to her three brothers: Jack, Darrell, and Gordon.

Love and Marriage

Barbara met the love of her life, Richard Decker, in 1949 through his sisters. They were married in Paradise at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on June 27, 1953, after Richard’s return from the Korean War. Their marriage lasted for 60 years until Richard’s passing.

Family Legacy

Barbara and Richard Decker were blessed with five children: Michael, Daniel, Julie, Thomas, and Diana. They raised their family in Chico, California, where they lived for many years. Barbara cherished her role as a mother and grandmother.

Barbara Decker will be laid to rest at Glen Oaks Memorial after a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.
