Early Life and Heritage

Sarah ‘Sadie’ Officer (Harris) was born in Belfast, Ireland, on September 11, 1929. She grew up in a warm and resilient environment, carrying the spirit of her homeland throughout her life.

Marriage and Immigration

On March 21, 1953, Sarah married Samuel Officer. Together, they embarked on a new chapter in their lives by immigrating to Westford, Massachusetts, where they raised a family of five children: James, Lawrence, Michael, Joan, and Jennifer.

Dedication to Family

After retiring from Murray Printing, Sarah devoted her time and love to her grandchildren, Nicole and Alexander. She instilled in them the values of family and care, which have been passed down through generations.

Passions and Legacy

Sarah was known for her love of card games, puzzles, reading, game shows, and spending time at York Beach, Maine. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, creating lasting memories for those who knew her.

Her legacy continues through her sons, James and Lawrence; her grandchildren, Nicole Turmelle and Alexander Officer; her great-granddaughter, Addison Officer; and countless other family members and friends worldwide.

Memorial Service and Memorial Contributions

A memorial service to honor and remember Sarah’s life will be held on Thursday, May 30th, 2024, at 11 AM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Westford, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) in memory of Sarah Officer. Her memory will continue to inspire love and dedication.
