Bengaluru motorcycle enthusiasts are in for a treat this Sunday, January 5th. The RD 350 Club and the Bikers of India Association are hosting an anniversary show featuring a remarkable collection of 150 to 200 vintage and classic motorcycles. The event, taking place from 10 am to 12 noon at the Airlines Hotel on Commissariat Road (behind UB City), promises a captivating display of timeless classics and rare machines.
Adding to the spectacle, over 200 bike owners will be dressed in traditional attire representing various regions of India, with a particular focus on Karnataka. This cultural element enhances the event’s appeal, showcasing the diverse heritage alongside the impressive motorcycles.
According to Vishal Agarwal, the event’s convenor, the gathering is more than just a celebration of old motorcycles; it’s a tribute to biking legends. Agarwal noted the absence of R. Chakravarthy, a prominent figure in the community who passed away a few years ago. This year’s event will feature notable participants including Venkatadri (65) on his 1940 Triumph, Mr. Narendra on his Norton, and Agarwal himself on his 1980s BSA Bond.
The anniversary celebration is expected to draw a large crowd of biking enthusiasts, collectors, and riders united by their passion for two-wheeled history. It promises to be a truly memorable spectacle for classic motorcycle lovers.
