Two women were seriously injured in a stabbing early Tuesday morning on Chicago’s Far South Side. Chicago police reported that the incident occurred just after 2:30 a.m. inside a home in the 13000-block of South Muskegon Avenue in the Hegewisch neighborhood. A 35-year-old woman and a 67-year-old woman were stabbed by a known male suspect during an argument.
Both victims were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition. The suspect is currently in custody, and Area Two detectives are investigating the incident.
