Daniel Guimond, a 66-year-old resident of Augusta, Maine, passed away on May 7, 2023, in Boston, Massachusetts. The cause of his death was not disclosed.

Guimond was born in Augusta on January 10, 1957, to parents Joseph and Mary Guimond. He attended Cony High School, graduating in 1975. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving for four years.

After his military service, Guimond returned to Maine and worked as a carpenter for several years. He later started his own business, Guimond Construction, which he operated for over 20 years.

Guimond was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Guimond, and his two children, Daniel Jr. and Sarah. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Lily and Ethan.

A celebration of life will be held for Guimond at a later date. The date and time of the celebration will be announced by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Guimond’s memory.
