With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Judith E. Couture, a beloved resident of Waterville, Maine. Judith passed away peacefully on May 10, surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 85.

A Life Filled with Love and Dedication

Judith was born and raised in Waterville, where she spent a majority of her life. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. Her faith played a central role in her life, guiding her actions and inspiring her to serve her community.

Judith’s unwavering dedication to her family was evident in everything she did. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

A Legacy of Service and Contribution

Beyond her family, Judith made significant contributions to the Waterville community. She was a passionate advocate for those in need, volunteering countless hours at local organizations such as Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter and Waterville Area Interfaith Care and Counseling.

Judith’s compassionate spirit extended to her work as a healthcare professional. For many years, she worked as a nurse’s aide at various hospitals and nursing homes, providing care and comfort to patients during their most vulnerable times.

A Celebration of Life

A visitation will be held on May 28 from 3-5 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Waterville. On May 29, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, followed by burial at a private ceremony.

Judith’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched throughout her life. Her love, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
