Wilmington, MA – Glenna (Creamer) Sandberg, a beloved long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024, at the age of 87.
### Early Life and Family
Glenna was born on July 8, 1936, in Wilmington, Massachusetts, to Harold Creamer, Sr. and Anna (Moore) Creamer. She grew up in Reading and graduated from Reading High School.
### Marriage and Family Life
Glenna married Ernest E. Sandberg, and together they raised their family in Wilmington. They welcomed two children, Karen and Keith. Glenna was a dedicated homemaker and mother, creating a warm and loving home for her family.
### Hobbies and Interests
Glenna had a passion for sewing and quilting. She spent countless hours creating beautiful quilts that will become cherished heirlooms for her family and friends. She was also an avid cook, known for her delicious holiday meals.
Glenna loved hosting gatherings and spending time with her friends. She maintained close friendships throughout her life, regularly enjoying luncheons and shopping excursions. She also found companionship and joy in her cats.
### Family and Friends
Glenna is survived by her children, Karen Couture and her husband John, and Keith Sandberg and his wife Dawn; her grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, and Noah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest; her brother, Hal Creamer, Jr.; and her cousins, Barbara Carpenter and Charlotte Stewart.
### Memorial Service and Donations
Visitation will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, on Thursday, May 23rd, from 3:00-5:30 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Glenna’s name can be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
