James “Jim” Comer, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away serenely in the presence of his loving family in Antioch, Illinois, on May 9th, 2024.

Jim’s unwavering passion for life and indomitable spirit shone brightly throughout his 30-year marriage to Donna. He was a dedicated father to his daughters, Amy, Lisa, Ali, and Taylor, and a doting grandfather to his five adored grandchildren.

An ardent sports enthusiast, Jim reveled in cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Cardinals. He embraced the summer months with joy, spending countless hours boating and honing his golf skills.

Jim’s legacy extends beyond his immediate family. He cherished his extended family, including his brother Jack, sister-in-law Jill, nieces, nephews, and former spouse Wendy. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Jim’s earthly journey was preceded by the passing of his parents, Alton and Clara Jean Comer, as well as his siblings Ann Wallor, Bob Comer, and Patricia Comer.

A private service will be held in Jim’s honor, with arrangements entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH.
