Samuel Martin Keith, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024, at the age of 77. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 8, 1947, Samuel lived a full and meaningful life.

Samuel proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he held leadership positions. His unwavering patriotism extended beyond military service, as he actively participated in various veteran chapters. Samuel’s passion for history was evident in his involvement as past state president of the Sons of the American Revolution and past chapter president of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War.

An avid outdoorsman, Samuel reveled in hunting and exploring the natural world. His love of nature was surpassed only by his affection for his family. He cherished spending precious time with his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Samuel’s memory will be forever treasured by his devoted wife of 55 years, Lorraine Keith; his loving daughters, Christina Tower and Stephanie Turney; and his adored grandchildren: Stephen, Lauren, Genevieve, Liam, Leah, and Connor.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Samuel’s name may be made to the American Heart Association.

As a testament to Samuel’s unwavering spirit, his family and friends will gather to celebrate his life, honoring the profound impact he had on countless hearts. His memory will forever serve as an inspiration to those who knew and loved him.
