Janhvi Kapoor Breaks Silence On Kartik-Karan Dispute: “Unveiling The Hidden Truth”

Janhvi Kapoor Speaks Candidly about Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar Dispute in ‘Dostana 2’

Mumbai, May 25, 2024: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has shed light on the highly publicized rift between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar, which resulted in the abrupt shelving of their upcoming film, ‘Dostana 2.’

Unveiling Production Details

In a recent interview with ‘The Lallantop,’ Kapoor revealed that ‘Dostana 2’ had completed a significant portion of its production before its unexpected halt. “We had shot for that film for about 30 to 35 days,” she disclosed. “The shoot was going very well.”

Addressing the Rift

When asked about the alleged dispute between Aaryan and Johar, Kapoor expressed her uncertainty. “I don’t know either. I don’t think it was that,” she remarked. “I think work is extremely important for both of them.”

However, she acknowledged the possibility of a rift between the two parties. “But whether something happened between them or not, you should ask them about it,” she advised.

Johar’s Perspective

In a previous statement, Johar had attributed the shelving of ‘Dostana 2’ to undisclosed “creative differences.” However, he had also expressed his admiration for Aaryan’s talent and work ethic.

Aaryan’s Absence

Aaryan was subsequently replaced by Laxman Utekar’s film ‘Luka Chuppi 2’ opposite Sara Ali Khan. He has since remained silent about the ‘Dostana 2’ controversy.

Industry Insights

Industry sources speculate that Aaryan’s alleged unprofessionalism and ego issues may have strained his relationship with Johar. Additionally, Johar’s decision to cast Aaryan in ‘Student of the Year 2’ despite the actor’s prior commitment to ‘Dostana 2’ is said to have further escalated tensions.

Future Prospects

Despite the setback, ‘Dostana 2’ remains a keenly anticipated project, with fans eagerly awaiting its potential revival or recasting. Kapoor, for her part, continues to focus on her upcoming releases, including ‘Bawaal’ and ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi.’
