On May 19, 2024, the Tennessee Lady Vols softball team secured their spot in the Super Regionals with a 6-0 shutout victory over Virginia in the Knoxville Regional. This marks the program’s 13th appearance in the Super Regionals and the first time they have reached this stage in consecutive seasons since 2018 and 2019.

Sophomore pitcher Karlyn Pickens delivered an outstanding performance, tossing a complete game shutout and allowing only two hits and one walk. Her dominant outing included taking a no-hitter into the fifth inning and striking out seven batters.

Offensively, senior outfielder Rylie West led the Lady Vols with a remarkable 3-for-4 performance and a career-high five RBIs. Her contributions included a single, a double, and a solo home run, coming close to completing the cycle. Zaida Puni also chipped in with two hits and an RBI.

Tennessee took an early lead in the first inning and added more runs in the third, putting pressure on Virginia throughout the game. Kiki Milloy had a significant impact, drawing four walks and scoring twice.
