Patricia Mae (Brandt) McMahon, a beloved resident of Red Bluff, California, peacefully departed this life on April 25th at the age of 89.

Born in Oroville, California, on October 30th, 1934, Patricia hailed from a humble upbringing as the daughter of Clarence and Louise Brandt. Her formative years were spent in the charming town of Oroville, where she developed a lifelong love for her community and its people.

Patricia excelled academically and pursued higher education at Chico State College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate. Her brilliance and dedication to learning laid the foundation for her future accomplishments.

In 1956, Patricia’s life took a fortuitous turn when she met and married Maynard (Mac) McMahon. Together, they embarked on a joyful journey that brought them four children: Scott, Dale, Bruce, and Ruth.

The McMahon family made Red Bluff their cherished home, where they built a warm and welcoming abode. They also constructed a rustic cabin retreat in Mill Creek, which became a beloved sanctuary for family gatherings, laughter, and the creation of lasting memories.

Patricia’s unwavering spirit extended beyond the confines of her home. She was an avid sports enthusiast, particularly fond of skiing the slopes of Lassen during winter months and engaging in spirited tennis matches throughout the summer.

Patricia possessed a versatile skillset, embracing both domestic and vocational endeavors with equal aplomb. Her culinary expertise was matched only by her carpentry prowess and her meticulous bookkeeping abilities.

Patricia’s pastimes included solving crossword puzzles, immersing herself in captivating books, and spending precious moments with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In 2018, Patricia bid farewell to her loving husband, Maynard. She is survived by her devoted children, Scott, Dale, Bruce, and Ruth, as well as her cherished siblings, Sonny, David, and Linda. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and countless friends who witnessed her unwavering kindness and infectious joie de vivre.

A private burial ceremony for Patricia will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Oroville on May 24th at 2 pm. A memorial service to celebrate her remarkable life will take place on May 25th at the home of Sonny Brandt.
