Obituary of Martin Mohoski

Oley Township, PA — Martin Mohoski, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on May 8, 2024.

Martin, lovingly known as Marty, was born on December 19, 1942, in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of JoAnn M. (Bonace) Mohoski.

After graduating from Reading High School in 1961, Marty embarked on a successful career in various industries. He worked at Brown Trailers, Glidden Corp., and retired from Carpenter Technology after more than 30 years of service. Post-retirement, he pursued his passion as a professional painter.

Marty was an avid hunter and had traveled the world in pursuit of his hobby. He cherished his adventures in Namibia, South Africa, where he had the opportunity to experience three unforgettable hunts.

Marty was a valued member of St. Matthews Greek Orthodox Church in Blandon. In addition to his wife, JoAnn, Marty is survived by his son, Marty Mohoski, and daughter-in-law, Domaris of Reading. He was also the proud grandfather of Jillian Mohoski.

Marty’s memory will be cherished by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Constance Parson and Christopher Mohoski.

  • Wednesday, May 22nd at 11 a.m.: Services at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley.
  • 10-11 a.m.: Viewing at the funeral home.
  • Burial at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
