Morning Routine Chart – Free Practice Tool
Mornings with children often feel rushed because nobody is sure what comes next. A visual routine chart solves that: every step has a picture, a name and a time, and children can follow the sequence themselves instead of waiting to be told.
This tool builds that chart in minutes. It starts with a sensible default morning — wake up, wash, breakfast, bag, shoes — and you can add, remove or retime any step. Steps sort themselves by time, so the chart always reads top to bottom in the right order.
Put the finished chart where children can see it, or read it together the night before. Many families find mornings get calmer within a week, because the chart — not a parent’s repeated reminders — tells the child what to do next.
Teachers can use the same chart for classroom mornings: arrival, coat away, register, reading time. Keep steps short, use a picture for each one, and let children tick steps off as they finish them.
