The European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 call is now open, offering €399.05 million in funding to support postdoctoral researchers of any nationality, at any career stage, worldwide.
About the Fellowship
MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships support excellent researchers undertaking research and training mobility, helping them gain new skills through international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility. Two main strands are available: European Postdoctoral Fellowships (within EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries) and Global Postdoctoral Fellowships (outgoing to a non-associated country with a mandatory return phase).

- Fellowship duration of 1 to 2 years
Eligibility
- Hold a PhD at the time of the call deadline
- Maximum of 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience since completing the PhD
- Must comply with mobility rules: applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the country of the host organisation for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the deadline
- Years of experience outside research and career breaks do not count toward the 8-year limit

Applicants must develop their research proposal together with a prospective supervisor and host organisation, then submit through the Funding and Tenders Opportunities Portal.
