Nancy Lee Brice, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Antioch, Illinois, on May 1, 2024. She was 77 years old.

Born February 24, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, Nancy was the daughter of Benjamin and Bernice (née Kuber) Smith. Nancy’s life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and friends. On May 27, 1963, she married the love of her life, James Nicholas Brice, who preceded her in death on April 6, 1991.

Nancy possessed a warm and generous spirit, always eager to lend a helping hand to others. She had a passion for games, particularly poker and bingo, and enjoyed lively conversations over coffee. Among her favorite pastimes were cheering on her beloved Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Nancy’s legacy lives on through her children, Chrissy (Tad Derousse) Brice and James Brice; her grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, James, Nicholas, and Madison; and her great-grandchildren, Vada, Kaylyn, Jimmy, Emersyn, Ethan, Olivia, and Breyson. She is also survived by her siblings, Lorraine Lyons and Thomas (Kathy) Smith, along with many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends.
